Team Needs Analysis

Stop spending money on band-aids or what you think is needed. Knowing the root problem of your pain points, and what people actually need to improve performance is the best way to make smart, calculated decisions which will ultimately cost you less over time.

The Team Needs Analysis (TNA), is a 100% anonymous, online company or team wide analyis tool to measure and quantify your teams actual needs around training & development.

One of the biggest mistakes we see businesses make is by investing in a band-aid program or training program based on a symptom or a want from a leader. This analysis dives deeper and exposes what the team truely needs to do to perform better, and share their honest feedback.

You may think you need to invest in a “morale boosting” retreat, but in reality, the team may need more structure around values, ethics and trust.

The Team Needs Analysis (TNA) is a lot like going to the mechanic when your car makes a funny noise. You don’t just replace the engine because you heard a noise; you run some diagnostic tests, and then once you review the data, you know how to fix the actual issue.

Just like your team’s needs, find out what they need to perform better, and then invest there. Safe. Smart. Higher ROI

How does the Team Needs Analysis Work?

The TNA is 100% online and anonymous reporting tool.  Once you invest in your own TNA, you’ll receive a link to share with your whole company or a specific team, for them to compelte the online assessment.

You and your team will invest a few minutes out of their day, answer a series of questions and provide their open and honest feedback. We don’t ask for names, emails or anything identifiable, so it’s 100% annonymous to improve the quality of feedback.

For very large companies or teams, the potential to add questions such as: Department, Country, City, or other high-level questions can be implemented to segment the end results.

However, if you have a smaller team, where it would be easy to pinpoint who someone is, we do not include such questions.

It’s in your best interest if your team feels the analysis is truly anonymous; otherwise, they won’t be open and honest with you.

Team Needs Analysis Case Study

A client had been dealing with low sales, low customer statisfaction and stagnation in conversions.

The initial plan was to invest over 40K on a large-scale Sales Training program for this one team to improve these metrics.

Before making this investment, which, based on the superficial level, made sense, they made a micro investment in the Team Needs Analysis.

The results revealed the team did not feel supported or trusted by their leaders. They were unwilling to “go above” or “try something different” as they believed leadership would penalise them and did not have their backs. Overwhelmingly, the team needed more support, communication, trust, and guidance from their leadership team.

They weren’t performing to their historic skill level as they became disengaged and untrusting of the leadership team.

With the use of their own data and feedback, we were able to design an appropriate training plan to support the team in reaching the company’s targets and making a meaningful impact.

After focused, relevant development, early reports show an increase in sales without the sales training.

By addressing the cause, we reduced the symptoms (low sales).

Data Drives Smart Investment

Investing in the growth of your people is statistically proven to be a cheaper option. Staff turnover is not only costly (How much is staff turnover costing you? Use our complimentary calculator), but it also erodes your customers’ confidence, trust in your brand and market position.

By investing in where it’s needed by your people, you strengthen your retention and growth pathways.

If you’ve been booking team pub days, lawn bowls, social only events, not only are you paying more in tax, but you’re only paying a tab, which doesn’t provide a return.

Investing in your people results in better ROI, reduces turnover, boosts performance and countless other metrics.
