Recently, we had the privilege of organising a one-of-a-kind team retreat just outside of Melbourne, Victoria, at a stunning venue called Flowerdale Estate. This event wasn’t just about team building—it was about crafting an experience that celebrated the team’s identity, fostered camaraderie, and created lasting memories.
Here’s how we made this retreat truly special:
Custom Logos to Celebrate Team Identity
To kick things off, we designed a custom logo specifically for the team and their event. This unique emblem became the centrepiece of the retreat, symbolising their unity and shared purpose. The logo appeared on various items throughout the event, reinforcing the team’s pride in their collective identity.
We drew inspiration from their department, industry, venue and date. We wanted to make this event stand out for them all and make a lasting impression.
Custom Challenge Coins for Each Participant
Each team member received a custom-designed challenge coin as a memento of the retreat. These coins, engraved with the event’s logo and weren’t just keepsakes—they were symbols of the team’s journey and accomplishments. They served as tangible reminders of their shared experience and commitment to each other.
This is something only those present at the event & being part of the team could have. A totem for the team.
Personalised Drink Stubby Holders
What’s a retreat without a little relaxation? We created a custom drink stubby holder featuring the event’s special logo. These practical and fun items added a personal touch to the event and ensured everyone had a keepsake they could use long after the retreat ended.
As the group had a cocktail hour after their Cardboard Sailor Challenge, along with a Birthday Celebration & End of Year send-off, it was amazing to see everyone using their new stubby holders, celebrating the team and the event.
Branded Trophies for the Winning Team
To add a competitive edge to the retreat, they took part in a competitive challenge where only one team would emerge victorious. The winning team was awarded custom-branded trophies that they could proudly display back at their workplace. These trophies weren’t just awards—they were symbols of teamwork, creativity, and determination.
One-of-a-Kind Flags for Custom Cardboard Boats
One of the retreat’s highlights was a boat-building challenge, where teams crafted their own vessels out of Cardboard to race on the water. To make the activity even more unique, we designed a custom mascot which related to their industry that we transformed into a one-of-a-kind flag for their boat.
Each flag had room for the team to create their own team/boat name and space for each team member to sign their name on. At the end of the event, participants took these flags home as souvenirs to be hung at the office, further commemorating their team’s creativity, collaboration and connection.
